310. Pawnee Bird Tour

The Pawnee National Grassland Bird Tour isĀ  a great choice for those looking to spot some of the many birds that call the grassland home. Take a trip along the 21 mile long tour and view a variety of bird habitats. The kinds of birds present will depend upon the season of the year, weather conditions, and time of day (early morning and late afternoon are best). The tour begins in the Crow Valley Recreation Area and follows county roads, mostly unpaved and gravel, through a variety of landscapes and ending at Highway 14 and County Road 61. A leisurely tour takes between 3 to 4 hours to complete by car. It can also be traveled by mountain bike with heavy duty tires.
