Pawnee campground has 47 campsites for tents, campers, trailers, or RVs. Picnic tables, fire grates, water, vault toilets, and trash services are provided. Eight people are allowed per site except for units 12 and 32 which will accommodate 15 people each.
There are no electrical hook-ups, dump stations, or showers. Campsite fees are $19 per night for regular campsites and $38 for double. Interagency Senior, Interagency Access, Golden Age and Golden Access passes provide cardholders a 50% discount on campground fees. Pawnee Campground visitors are subject to Brainard Lake Recreation Area fees. Many of the campsites can be reserved. Reservations are made through www.recreation.gov or by calling toll-free 1-877-444-6777.
Pawnee Campground is always full to capacity on weekends and holidays. First-come, first-served campsites normally fill for the weekend by Thursday. Consider making a reservation well in advance.
